Terms of Service
This is a founder-drafted starting point, not final legal terms — it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet. It describes how HelloExpo actually operates today, honestly, rather than filler text.
Who you're buying from
HelloExpo is the merchant of record for everything sold on this site. Your contract is with HelloExpo, not with the individual suppliers who manufacture or print your order — they're fulfilment partners to us, not to you. If something goes wrong, you contact HelloExpo, never a supplier directly.
Ordering and checkout
Checkout doesn't require an account — company name is captured on the cart page (required, so we can generate a proper order reference for your organisation), a PO/reference number is optional, and payment is processed through Shopify's secure hosted checkout. HelloExpo never sees or stores your full payment card details.
Lead times, delivery, and if something goes wrong
Every product lists a stated lead time. We treat a committed delivery date as a real commitment, not a rough estimate — if a supplier can't meet it, that's on us to resolve, not something we pass back to you to chase. If an item is damaged in transit, we ship a replacement at our cost (expedited if there's still time before your event), or refund it if a replacement can't arrive in time. If an item doesn't arrive by the committed date, we refund that line item in full, regardless of whose fault the delay was. If the wrong item is shipped, we expedite the correct one at our cost and cover return shipping for the original. Buyer's-remorse returns (not a fault on our side) are handled case by case for now, since return economics vary a lot by product type.
Custom logos and personalised products
For products that accept an uploaded logo or design, you confirm you own the rights to use whatever you upload, or have permission to use it. A human places your uploaded file onto the product by hand before production and will confirm placement with you first — this isn't a fully automated process on any print-on-demand platform today. Where a product involves compliance-cleared or regulated artwork, the accuracy of any regulatory claims in that artwork remains your organisation's responsibility, not ours — our team checks placement and print quality, not regulatory content.
Pricing
Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and include everything charged unless shipping is itemised separately. We reserve the right to correct a listed price that's obviously a pricing error before an order ships.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that can't legally be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Beyond that, HelloExpo's liability for any order is limited to the value of that order — a placeholder limit pending real legal review, not a considered final position.
Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales. This is a founder assumption based on where the business currently operates from, not a confirmed legal position.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the business develops. The version in effect at the time you place an order is the one that applies to it.
